This was a personal project supported by Pas Normal Studios, Merrell and Shift.MS
Titled “Mallorca 330: IMMUNITY”
Inspired by the arc of an epic ride out this project follows the pursuit of physical challenge and personal growth. Four cyclists, Ciarán, Rich, Dan and Nick all cyling 330km around the island of Mallorca in one day.
Throughout this project we were raising awareness and funds for Shift.MS, a Multiple Sclerosis Charity.
In their words
“We’re cycling the loop of Mallorca at the height of summer, aligned with the summer solstice, to push our bodies to the limit knowing that we won’t even be close to the struggle a lot of people with MS have to go through”.

A message on this project from NO.M.I.A.I. co-founder, P
“To set the scene, in the early stages of conceptualising this project, I was stood ankle deep in the Mauritian waters listening to ‘IMMUNITY’ by Jon Hopkins; a raw and analogue track featuring sounds that wash in and out, and, which as a piece of work, was inspired by finding euphoric states through music, and by exploring the stages of that within the arc of an epic night out.
The title itself ‘IMMUNITY’ also captured my intrigue. As someone living with Multiple Sclerosis, my immune system is vulnerable, so every day presents new and ever evolving physical challenges, but by overcoming these challenges I achieve new states of personal growth.
Life’s most challenging moments present opportunities; to build resilience in the face of physical adversity, to stay determined even when suffering, and then ultimately discovering acceptance through surrender.
Not too dissimilar from the challenge we’re discussing.
I read more about the record, and a journalist mused that ‘IMMUNITY’ was “defined by an acute sense of physicality and place.”

What If that place were Mallorca?
What if that sense of physicality was Cycling?
What if the euphoric states reached were through this personal challenge?
This project is inspired by THE ARC OF AN EPIC RIDE OUT, covering 332km around the circumference of the island of Mallorca from sunrise to sunset.
A journey of resilience, determination, suffering, surrender and willful acceptance.
A physical challenge in the quest for personal growth.”
